Are you looking for a new challenge? We’re seeking an exceptional individual to play a central role in the administration of our £1.25m ESRC IAA 2023-28 programme, and our £564,000 EPSRC IAA 2022-26 programme. You’ll be providing advice and support to applicants and award holders, helping organise a range of impact-related events in conjunction with external partners, and helping to produce regular reports on the impact which has been achieved by our IAAs.

You’ll be based in the University’s Research Services team, and will report to and work closely with the University Impact Manager (who is also the ESRC and EPSRC IAA Manager), and with the Senior Impact Acceleration Account Officer.

The successful candidate will join a friendly and supportive Research Impact Team which is dedicated to helping researchers to optimise the real-world impact of their research at every level from local communities to the global economy and society.

We’re looking for a flexible and adaptable individual who has experience of working in a busy clerical or administrative role, including working with electronic filing systems. We’re seeking someone who has excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to organise and prioritise their own workload, and multi-task effectively; the ability to work as part of a busy team; a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.

Whilst you will be required to live within a commutable distance from the Aston campus and to be on campus on a regular basis, dynamic working, which supports a balance between office-based work and home working, is the norm across the University.
